Biophilic Design & Environmental Credentials
Apple has shared several images and a video highlighting the “biophilic” design—a concept that focuses on fostering close connections with nature. This architectural style incorporates natural features such as vegetation, wood, and water, alongside design elements that reflect the organic forms found in nature.

Designed from the ground up to align with Apple’s values, the store is constructed using regionally sourced mass timber and low-carbon materials, which significantly lower the carbon footprint of its building process. All Apple facilities, including the Miami Worldcenter, operate on 100 percent renewable energy and maintain carbon neutrality.
Accessibility at the Core of the Design
Furthermore, Apple emphasizes that accessibility was a cornerstone of the design process.
In line with Apple’s dedication to accessibility, the new store is built upon universal design principles and features varying table and seating heights for product exploration and assistance, along with widened pathways for wheelchair users. For customers with hearing aids, a portable hearing loop is available throughout the store. Additionally, the Today at Apple table is equipped with an assistive listening loop, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
The store introduces Miami’s first dedicated Apple Pickup area, allowing customers to order items online and collect them in-person, ideal for those who may not be home to receive deliveries of valuable products.
