Following the announcement of WWDC 2025 earlier this week, Apple has begun notifying the winners of this year’s Swift Student Challenge. Developers can visit Apple’s official website to check their application status.
According to a social media post by winner Dylan McDonald, Apple has been sending emails to the challenge winners containing the following message:
Congratulations!
We are excited to inform you that you have been chosen as a winner of the Swift Student Challenge 2025!
In recognition of your outstanding work, you will receive:
- An official certificate from Apple to acknowledge your achievement.
- One year of individual membership in the Apple Developer Program.
- An opportunity to take the App Development with Swift certification exam.
- A pair of AirPods Max.
Every year, Apple honors 350 winners in its annual Swift Student Challenge. Among these winners, 50 students are distinguished as Distinguished Winners and are invited to Apple Park for WWDC. Last year, some winners had the surprise opportunity to showcase their apps to Apple CEO Tim Cook.
In Apple’s own words:
Apple is committed to empowering the next generation of developers, creators, and entrepreneurs through the Swift Student Challenge. This Challenge has provided thousands of student developers with a platform to express their creativity and coding skills through app playgrounds while also learning valuable real-world skills for their future careers.
