Apple has confirmed the renewal of its acclaimed sci-fi series Silo for both a third and fourth season, marking the conclusion of its adaptation of the much-loved book series by Hugh Howey.
As the second season of the show continues to air on Apple TV+, this news comes as a delightful surprise to its devoted fanbase. While not officially announced, reports indicate that filming for the third season started earlier this month.
While details remain unofficial, it appears that production for both the third and fourth seasons is taking place at the same time. There has been no announcement regarding the planned release date.
Though Apple has yet to disclose viewership statistics for the ongoing second season, the company stated last year that Silo had become its most popular drama on the streaming platform.
New episodes of Silo’s second season are being released weekly, with the last one airing on January 17.
Tim Cook announced the renewal news through a tweet earlier today. Additionally, it has been reported that he visited the UK set last week to show his support for the production.
