Introduced in 2019, Apple One combines multiple Apple services into a single package. While platforms like TV+, Arcade, and Music consistently receive new content, significant service enhancements are infrequent. Recently, though, Apple unveiled three exciting new features within the Apple One offerings. Let’s dive into the updates.
Early access to Apple ‘TV+’ original podcasts
Many may be unaware that Apple creates original podcasts and that subscribers of Apple TV+ can access them early.
In the past, Apple has produced podcasts linked to TV+ shows, but in late 2024, they began to expand their offerings.
Now, Apple is launching original podcasts under the ‘Apple TV+’ brand that are not directly associated with the TV service, which can be a bit confusing.
Recent examples include:
Apple’s original podcasts release on a weekly schedule, with new episodes becoming available even for non-subscribers.
However, Apple TV+ subscribers enjoy a special advantage: they can access the entire series of episodes right from day one.
This means non-subscribers can only listen to the initial episodes, while TV+ (and Apple One) subscribers can binge all episodes from the get-go.
Sudoku games in the Apple News app
Last month, iOS 18.2 rolled out with significant upgrades for iPhone users, featuring Genmoji, ChatGPT integration, and a revamped Mail app.
Apart from these enhancements, iOS 18.2 introduced a new feature for Apple News+ (and Apple One Premier) subscribers: daily Sudoku puzzles.
Apple has been diligently increasing its inventory of puzzles in the Apple News app, all exclusive to News+ subscribers.
This daily Sudoku feature complements existing offerings like Crossword, Quartiles, and Mini Crossword puzzles available to active News+ subscribers. Essentially, Apple is adopting strategies used by major competitors to engage readers with enjoyable content.
Enhancements to Fitness+
As you set your 2025 health objectives, Apple Fitness+ has introduced new features, including Strava integration and an array of curated programs:

Overview of Apple One’s new benefits
Apple One has not frequently upgraded its offerings, making it exciting to observe Apple’s ongoing commitment to improving the service. Increasing the value at the same subscription rate is a win for customers, and I’m looking forward to how Apple may further develop Apple One, possibly with a focus on Home-centered features in the future.
