Apple has rolled out a new beta firmware update for the AirPods Pro 2, offering enhancements for developers in anticipation of a public release.
New beta firmware comes just before the next iOS launch
The AirPods Pro 2 have received their first beta firmware update since November, the month when version 7B21 was made available to the public.
The public firmware version for AirPods Pro 2 remains 7B21, but this is expected to change soon as the new beta update transitions to a broader release.
The newly available beta firmware version is build 7E5067b.
Details about the contents of the new AirPods firmware are still unclear, but it likely encompasses bug fixes and performance enhancements.
It may also boost compatibility with the forthcoming iOS 18.3 release, or set the stage for features expected in the upcoming iOS 18.4 beta.
