To celebrate Black History Month, Apple has introduced its Black Unity Collection for 2025, featuring new wallpapers, watch faces, and straps. Apple describes this year’s collection as being “inspired by the rhythm of humanity.”
A collaborative effort by Black creatives and allies at Apple led to the creation of this collection. The Unity Rhythm design incorporates the colors of the Pan-African flag: black, green, and red.
Black Unity Rhythm Sport Loop
The first item highlighted is the Black Unity Rhythm Sport Loop, featuring a distinctive lenticular pattern using red and green:
The Black Unity Sport Loop is crafted with a special arrangement of raised and recessed loops that create a lenticular effect, showcasing green on one side and red on the other. When worn, the colors seem to move dynamically, transitioning from green to red as the wearer shifts their wrist, producing a magical yellow hue in the blend.

Unity Rhythm Watch Face
Continuing the tradition, Apple has designed a corresponding watch face for the Apple Watch, which will soon be available via a software update for both iPhone and Apple Watch devices:
The Unity Rhythm watch face features unique numerals intertwined with threads of red, green, and yellow. This watch face interacts with the gyroscope, so when users raise their wrist to view the time, the threads come together from a series of abstract strokes into numbers. Additionally, distinctive rhythmic sounds will signify every hour and half hour while using the Unity Rhythm watch face.
The accompanying software update, expected to come with iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, will also introduce a new Unity wallpaper:
The Unity Rhythm wallpapers for iPhone and iPad showcase the same custom lettering forming the word “Unity,” which changes orientation upon locking and unlocking the device.
