Apple Sports Introduces F1 Support and More in Latest iPhone Update

The Apple Sports app continues to receive frequent updates, with the latest version 2.6 introducing two exciting new features: F1 racing and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Latest Sports App Update Enhances League and Sport Selections

Apple’s Sports app for iPhone is designed to be the ultimate destination for tracking scores of your favorite teams and more.

The app initially started support for a limited selection of sports, but Apple has steadily expanded its offerings, resulting in a wide variety of options available now.

The newest additions include F1 racing and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Check out the official App Store release notes for today’s update:

  • Now you can follow the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Apple Sports as elite teams vie for one of the most prestigious titles in European soccer.
  • Attention F1 enthusiasts! Experience all the thrills on the track this season with Apple Sports, featuring live leaderboards, lap times, and more.

The arrival of F1 support coincides with the highly anticipated Apple TV+ film about F1 set to hit theaters this summer, along with Apple reportedly negotiating for streaming rights.

With the expanded range of sports available in the app, we can hope that versions for iPad and Mac won’t be far behind.

You can download Apple Sports from the App Store.
