This week, Apple is set to unveil a new short film – not for Apple TV+, but as a promotional piece for the new AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. The film features Chilean actor Pedro Pascal, directed by the acclaimed Spike Jonze.

Although the short film titled “Someday” is scheduled for release tomorrow, Apple has already shared a teaser on its YouTube channel. The video description states, “Experience the magic of AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation in a new film by Spike Jonze, starring Pedro Pascal. Watch on YouTube March 18th.”
The teaser opens with Pascal strolling through snowy streets, evading pedestrians – likely an allusion to the Active Noise Cancellation feature. Other scenes depict Pascal and several others enjoying music and dancing while using the latest AirPods 4 equipped with ANC.
Apple introduced AirPods 4 in September 2024, offering two variants, including one with Active Noise Cancellation – a feature that was previously limited to the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first collaboration between Apple and Spike Jonze. In 2018, the director created a short film for the HomePod featuring dancer FKA Twigs. That ad, titled “Welcome Home,” won an award in the Advertising Excellence/Single Commercial category at the AICP Awards.

The AirPods 4 with ANC are priced at $179, and you can find them at a lower price on Amazon.
