Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 16e today, positioning it as a replacement for both the iPhone SE and iPhone 14, at a price point of $599, featuring support for Apple Intelligence. Following the announcement, the company released the iOS 18.3.1 restore image tailored for the new iPhone 16e.
The iOS 18.3.1 version is the most up-to-date iPhone software available. Apple rolled out this software update on February 10, delivering numerous security enhancements to iPhone users. An improved build was subsequently released.
The restore image made available today ensures that customers of the iPhone 16e can efficiently update and restore their devices to the shipping version of iOS when the new phone is dispatched to them later this month. The build version is 22D8075, and the identifier for the iPhone 16e model is iPhone17,5.
