In September, Beats caught everyone off guard when the audio brand from Apple unveiled its inaugural iPhone case lineup. Now, there’s even more excitement as Beats introduces a new design for the iPhone 16 series this week.
To provide some context, Apple has retired the less-than-ideal FineWoven iPhone case collection that was launched to take over the leather cases. The replacement? A new offering of Beats-branded plastic cases featuring an open bottom.
The initial version comes in four color choices for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Max:
- Midnight Black
- Summit Stone
- Riptide Blue
- Sunset Purple
Beats has now launched the latest additions labeled as Special Editions, showcasing two new colors: Sunrise Pink and Twilight Blue. The reason they are called special editions? The traditional MagSafe outline is replaced with the Beats ‘b’ logo on the back. Both versions maintain MagSafe compatibility, while the other models feature the “beats” logo beneath the volume buttons. All models are priced identically at $49.

Below is the product description shared by Beats:
The durable polycarbonate back is paired with flexible sidewalls for enhanced shock absorption, ensuring a slim, lightweight, and easy-to-hold design. The exterior is coated with a glossy scratch-resistant finish for additional durability, while the soft microfiber interior protects the iPhone. Beats cases integrate seamlessly with the new Camera Control on the iPhone 16 series, featuring a sapphire crystal alongside a conductive layer that translates finger movements to the Camera Control.
What’s your take? Personally, I’m quite fond of the Twilight Blue variant, especially when matched with the blue iPhone 16, although Riptide Blue boasts the most intriguing color name.
