I was reminded of Gurman’s report while discussing the Thread radio technology that Apple recently started embedding in its iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
When Apple introduced the Thread radio in the iPhone 15 Pro, it was not linked to any particular new functionalities. However, it is now clear that it was setting the stage for a better smart home experience with Matter and other features.
