Austin Butler is changing for his upcoming significant film part; he is no longer Elvis. In advance of the release of the teaser, the movie’s authorized social networking pages on Tuesday shared a video from Dune: Part Two, giving lovers of the original novel their first look at Butler, 31, as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Arrakis’ video teases brief appearances by the main characters.
Austin Butler’s New Avatar
The teaser clip ended with a sight of Austin Butler having a bald eyebrow and head in his new villain character. The trailer also included Javier Bardem, Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, and Josh Brolin in the new role.
Austin Butler’s act has elements of both Jagger and a serial killer. Butler is depicted as Feyd-Rautha, the descendant of the Harkonnen family which killed Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac) the duke, and wrecked Paul’s home on Arrakis in Dune: Part Two.
During a more extensive preview of the impending epic of science fiction, Villeneuve described to Vanity Fair who is Machiavellian, far meaner, a lot more calculated, and more egotistical. Feyd-Rautha is Rabban’s younger brother and the nephew to the Baron, the head of the Harkonnen dynasty who is portrayed by Stellan Skarsgård in Dune in 2021.
Feyd-Rautha is described as a clever and compelling figure in contrast to Rabban, who the director previously claimed in Vanity Fair is not much intelligent. Rabban lacks the intelligence to oversee and direct activities and is a poor strategist. He went on to say of Butler’s persona as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen being a highly intelligent, charming figure, and utterly brilliant.
Sting, the vocalist, and bassist for The Police, previously played Feyd-Rautha in David Lynch’s 1984 Dune adaption. In the 2000 miniseries adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune for the Sci-Fi channel, even Matt Keeslar took a turn playing the part. A full teaser for Dune: Part Two, starring Léa Seydoux and Christopher Walken is anticipated for Wednesday.
