Avery Cyrus and her girlfriend JoJo Siwa have decided to break up. The 19-year-old mogul from Nickelodeon, Siwa, and her 22-year-old TikTok creator partner have decided to call it quits after they announced that they were officially dating in September. Their break up was revealed by Cyrus in a comment made on a TikTok post on Saturday.
The TikTok post was a video taken of a tropical getaway, with Siwa informing Cyrus that this was her breaking up the present for the TikTok creator. In the comments section, one of their fans mentioned that they were really curious about the reason behind their break up. To this, Cyrus went ahead and responded that they had decided that they were better off just friends. According to PEOPLE, a representative of the young actor didn’t respond to requests for comment on this.
Avery Cyrus And JoJo Siwa Have Broken Up
JoJo Siwa and Avery Cyrus first sparked the rumors of their romance after they ended up filming a video on TikTok together on the 5th of August. The duo was seen lipsyncing to words- with a voiceover by Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick. Siwa lip-synced that they were friends, while Cyrus mouthed that the relationship was purely platonic. Siwa and Cyrus were quite frequent in each other’s posts on social media in the weeks that followed this video, as they also ended up leaving cute, flirty messages in each other’s comment sections on the social media platforms.
On the 13th of September, Avery Cyrus and JoJo Siwa made their relationship official with a video on TikTok which showed the couple sharing a kiss at a photo booth in Chuck E. Cheese. A couple of days after that, the couple also made their debut on the red carpet.
