As anticipated, Apple’s Beats division is venturing into a new realm: USB-C cables. The brand has unveiled its “first-ever lineup of reinforced charging cables available in various lengths and colors.” Prices start at $18.99 for individual cables, with orders open now.
The latest Beats cables come in different configurations: USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C, and USB-C to Lightning. Available colors include Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy, and Rapid Red.

The cables boast an “anti-fray design” developed by Apple. They have been put through “thousands of hours of testing,” with reinforcement at common strain points to minimize fraying.
Regarding performance, the USB-C to USB-C cable is compatible with both Apple and Android devices. It’s designed for charging, syncing, audio, CarPlay, and data transfer. It can deliver up to 60 watts of charging power with compatible devices, and data speeds are capped at USB 2.0 rates. Additionally, the cable allows for charging of USB-C compatible Beats headphones and speakers while using audio or streaming lossless audio.
- USB-A to USB-C is crafted for charging, syncing, CarPlay, and data transfers. Fast charging capabilities can reach up to 15 watts for select iPhone and iPad models, with data transfer rates at USB 2.0 speeds.
- USB-C to Lightning is compatible with iOS and iPadOS devices featuring Lightning ports, supporting charging, syncing, and CarPlay, including fast charging for select iPhone and iPad models.
Pricing for all 1.5-meter and 20-centimeter cables is set at $18.99 for single units. A two-pack of the 1.5-meter USB-C to USB-C and USB-A to USB-C cables is offered at $34.99. These cables can be ordered today from the Apple and Beats websites.
It’s quite intriguing to witness Apple’s Beats brand taking another step into the accessories market with these USB-C cables. The brand made waves last fall by introducing iPhone cases in conjunction with the iPhone 16 launch.
