Last week a bug infested the Bitcoin ordinals causing hiccups in the transaction. Stopped inscription for validation. The number was found nearly 1200. The protocols have prevented this. The team has not come to a solution yet, however, they have proposed a few. That will work. There has been debate about what is causing the delay perhaps.
The Old Version Of The Bitcoin Ordinals Protocol Caused The Mishap
The BTC Ordinals community is now discussing over if they need to omit the old inscription or not. They are proposing to the higher authorities about including these. They are perhaps confused about how they should include this inscription. They are also thinking about the radioactive ways.
Perhaps the bug came into the BTC ordinals through the indexer function of the protocol. These were counting inscriptions and were in the first input of a transaction submitted. This includes version 0.5.1 of the protocol.
The first issue was made known to the public on 5th April. One of the Bitcoin ordinals members tweeted about the pros and cons of each solution they were thinking of.
Some were named Leonidas.og a member of the Bitcoin ordinals shared the important information on tweeter. When they proposed to make it radioactive or not to change it. The majority voted not to change it now. They were 66%.
The first solution BTC ordinals provided were the orphan method. If they use this orphan inscription then the ordinals protocol would correctly match the logical ordering in the chain. Even after the reshuffling it might behave differently.Which is highly likely to create complications.
On 8th April the BTC Ordinals surpassed more than 1 million.
