Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are expecting baby number two! The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal the news alongside a black-and-white nude photo of the parents-to-be. “Baby No. 2 is coming soon,” he captioned the stunning shot, which showed his wife sitting in Patrick’s lap as he gently held onto her from behind. “We are forever thankful for you opening our eyes to true love and friendship.”

Brittany Mahomes Awaits Second Child
The couple is expecting their second child together, after welcoming daughter Breleigh in January 2017. The Chiefs quarterback previously told PEOPLE that fatherhood has changed his life — especially given how active Breleigh is as a toddler.
Patrick also shared the same sweet photo on his own Instagram feed, in addition to a series of throwback photos from when their son Sterling was born.
Brittany Mahomes is pregnant with her second child and due sometime this summer. She and Patrick have been married since 2017 and have one son together, Sterling Mahomes II, who was born in December 2017.
“Brittany and I are very excited about this new addition to our family,” Mahomes said. “I can’t wait to meet him or her. Brittany has been amazing throughout the entire process and she is doing great! We are looking forward to spending time together as a family and will be enjoying this second pregnancy.”
So happy for the couple, who have been making headlines lately for other reasons, too—like Mahomes’s record-setting contract extension with the Chiefs this March (he also holds NFL records for passing touchdowns in a single season). This past season was also his first in Kansas City after being traded from the Chiefs’ AFC West rival Texans last year (he led them to their 10th straight playoff appearance).
It looks like he’ll continue his winning ways with his wife, Brittany Mahomes by his side—and soon enough we’ll get another chance to see how much they’ve grown since their son’s birth!
