On Monday, Caterina Scorsone shared on Instagram that her three children and her family narrowly escaped a fire that destroyed their house a few months prior. After a devastating house fire, Caterina Scorsone has been experiencing the support of the co-stars from Grey’s Anatomy.
On the popular medical drama, Caterina Scorsone, who portrays Amelia Shepherd, disclosed on Instagram on Monday about how her home had been destroyed by fire a few months ago. She posted a picture of her three children whom she co-parents with her ex-husband via Instagram, saying she only had around two minutes to get them outside the house to save them from the fire. She wrote that smoke started to seep upwards through the tile surrounding the bathtub and into the home when she was putting her kids in their beds after just concluding bath time.
Caterina Scorsone Thankful For Having Survived Horrifying Fire
Caterina Scorsone was capable of going out with her girls and herself without incident, but the opposite is true for pets. Unfortunately, she was not able to save her dogs. However, she is grateful that she was able to be with them, even if it was for a little while.
Camilla Luddington in response to her Grey’s Anatomy costar Caterina Scorsone’s post, said what a great mom was for her commendable fast thinking in the face of such a dire situation. Amelia’s on-screen lover, Dr. Bartley, who is played by E.R. Fightmaster, expressed support for them, as well.
The actress acknowledged friends and neighbors for their assistance in getting her through the difficult period. Scorsone praised the emergency personnel who arrived on the scene, her former neighbor, and the guardians at her children’s school as well as Shonda Rhimes who supported her by sending her clothes and other resources.
