Users report ChatGPT is down
OpenAI has acknowledged the outage on its site. They indicated that the issue stems from an “upstream provider,” and their team is already addressing the problem. However, there is no estimated time for when ChatGPT will be operational again. In addition to ChatGPT, both the OpenAI API and the Sora video generation service are also currently unavailable.
This isn’t the first outage for ChatGPT this month. The service encountered another disruption on December 11, coinciding with Apple’s launch of iOS 18.2, which features ChatGPT integration in Siri. Consequently, some users might find it difficult to engage with the OpenAI chatbot through Siri at this moment.
