The child tax credit will soon be issued by the department of IRS on the monthly basis. To be precise, it will start getting distributed from the month of July. This is not another round of the coronavirus stimulus checks however, there is not much difference between the two either. It is similar in the sense that the child tax credit is to get paid in the people’s accounts, automatically. But there are certain rules to follow. Some people will have to use the given portals of the IRS department in order for the agency to approve the information of the receiver in order to receive the checks.

Child Tax Credit From July

In order to provide information from the recipients, sources confirmed that the IRS will be providing two different portals. The first one is for the people who have already filed the taxes in the year 2019 and 2020 but will need to update some information. The sort of information in question is concerning the child tax credit. It includes that of the change in the exact number of children who qualify for the taxes, any sort of raise or decrease in the salaries, and a change in the marital status of the receiver.

The second portal is for the ones who are “eligible non-filers.” The portal is also available currently. The people who come under this banner can take the advantage of the portal by providing the requisite information in order to evaluate their eligibility criteria for receiving the child tax credit. So what this means is that the citizens who have not filed for the tax returns of the years 2019 and 2020 have been exempted from using the portal of EP last year.
