Coinbase, the cryptocurrency exchange, is looking to release a new subscription service named “Coinbase One” for 35 countries. At first, only Ireland, Germany, and the United Kingdom customers will be able to avail of Coinbase One.
What Can You Expect From Coinbase One?
As per the announcement made on May 18th, Coinbase One will hope to offer features like trading with zero fees, amplified rewards for staking, as well as exclusive benefits via collaborations with players of the industry like CoinTracker and Messari. All of these will be on offer for a $29.99 monthly fee.
Moreover, Coinbase is planning to work with more partners like Lemonade, Blockworks’ Permisionless, and Alto IRA (Retirement Accounts for Individuals) to provide its members with even more benefits. Coinbase also promised the members of Coinbase One a support team dedicated to them 24/7. Members will be able to contact them for help via calls and get immediate help on any technical issues related to their accounts that may be encountered.
Furthermore, the Coinbase One service will give members from the US a conveniently pre-filled Form 8489 for tax purposes. This will make it easier to file taxes for their cryptocurrency as it will automatically organize their transactions.
On May 2nd, the Coinbase International Exchange was introduced by Coinbase. It is an institutional platform that is specifically designed to trade derivatives of crypto. The strategic decision of Coinbase to expand operations internationally by introducing a worldwide platform is a reply to challenges from US regulations that the exchange is still struggling to deal with. Brian Armstrong, the CEO of the exchange, has assured his customers that the firm remains completely committed to the market in the United States, despite such expansive plans.
