The release of iOS 18.4 beta 2 has introduced a fresh set of Control Center controls dedicated to Apple Intelligence & Siri. Here’s what you need to know.
iOS 18.4 beta unveils Visual Intelligence and Talk to Siri controls
With iOS 18.4 beta 2, Apple has expanded the Control Center by adding a new category of controls.
This new section, labeled Apple Intelligence & Siri, consists of the following features:
- Talk to Siri
- Type to Siri
- Visual Intelligence
Among these, Type to Siri was the only control available prior to this update.
The addition of Visual Intelligence is particularly significant, as it allows iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16e users access to a feature that was previously exclusive to the iPhone 16.
Users can now utilize the Visual Intelligence control not just from Control Center, but also from the Lock Screen or through the Action button.
Talk to Siri mimics the traditional action of pressing and holding the iPhone’s side button, activating Siri in voice mode.
This increased flexibility for interacting with Siri and leveraging Visual Intelligence is a welcomed improvement. It will be interesting to see if Apple will introduce additional controls in this AI & Siri section in the future.
