Voting for the new vision for Cosmos Hub is scheduled to go for voting on the 31Oct. This voting will be for the on-chain. It was initially slated to be held on the 3rd of Oct.
Cosmos Hub: What Is It?
Cosmos Hub is the first of numerous interconnected blockchains that will finally be interconnected to form the Cosmos Network. Its primary token will be Atom but plans for the future suggest that many other tokens will be there.
With ATOM, you have the superpower to contribute to the security and governance of the Cosmos Hub. Delegate your ATOM to one or more of the 125 validators on the Hub blockchain to earn more ATOM through Proof-of-Stake. You can also vote with your ATOM to influence the future of the C Hub through on-chain governance proposals.
Concerns were raised by the members of the community pertaining to the method of issuance of the token. Sam H initiated the model and is the lead strategist of Cosmos. members of the community have this fear that minting a large number of Atoms would reduce the inflation level. The evolution phase would see about 10000 K Atoms being issued in the initial month. And steadily decrease over 36 months.
The revised concept proposes a lesser amount of Atoms to into the community pool.
As per Hart, this marks the evolution to the coming phase of Cosmos Hub as a platform for Infrastructure Services. And Atom will evolve into collateral within the network of the Cosmos.
The white paper describes functionalities too. As an interchain schedular and as an interchain allocator. This is with the regime of liquid staking.
According to the document the plan would be managed and controlled by a council of the Cosmos. The council will come into existence through entities that are domain specialized and they will look after the operation and development.
