The new addition to the Cryptosat constellation was a portion of the efforts to make space a new field for bulletproof cryptography.

As per a declaration, one of the Falcon 9 Launch vehicles by SpaceX carried a cryptosat equipped cryptographically into earth’s orbit on rd January. The new addition to the crypto satellite of the constellation has been a part of their efforts to ensure space has a battleground in its quest for cryptography by increasing the computational power.
Cryptosat founder Yonatan Winertraub said that the launch of this satellite will give them more powerful features and more availability to support the substantially growing portfolio.
In an interview with Cointelegraph, Winetraub listed several of the potential cases the company was investigating with the sat, including getting a signed timestamp for programs like contracts and data encoded to a public key. In order to prevent “premature decryption,” the cryptosat can also generate a cryptography key pair as well as release a secret key after a certain period of time.
Cryptosat Launched Another Cryptographically Equipped Satellite:
On January 3, at 2:56 p.m. UTC, SpaceX launched the modules as part of their Transporter 6 operation, which departed from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. 114 spacecraft for different operators across the world were sent into orbit along with the Cryptosat payload by the Falcon 9 rocket.
According to a Cointelegraph article in May, Crypto1—the initial satellite Crypto sattelite launched—was designed to make it easier for blockchain apps to run by offering a physically impassable, tamper-proof infrastructure. The ISS, had already been used for testing the satellite’s technologies.
