Damsel

The much-awaited fantasy and action movie debuted on Netflix on March 8 and has been the streaming service’s #1 movie ever since. By March 14, Damsel had been viewed a staggering 35,300,000 times on the streaming site, making it the most-watched movie of the year.

The movie is about “a damsel who doesn’t need to be saved,” according to Bobby Brown, who plays the lead role of Elodie. “She saves herself in many ways,” she continued. It defies expectations: You think the prince will turn around and come to her aid, but he doesn’t. Wait no longer for the prince.”

Damsel Replaced By Lindsey Lohan’s Upcoming Endeavor

But Lindsay Lohan’s most recent endeavor has taken Damsel’s position as the queen. In the movie Irish Wish, Maddie played by Lindsay Lohan travels to Ireland to witness her friend’s marriage to the man she has been crushing on for years.

She wishes she was marrying him instead, and then she wakes up and finds herself the soon-to-be wife. March 15 saw the release of the film on Netflix, coinciding with St. Patrick’s Day. Despite Irish Wish’s low rating of 36% on Rotten Tomatoes, Lohan’s followers are raving about the movie on social media. “I hope Lindsay Lohan never quits doing these Netflix Rom-Coms because it’s the finest to watch her thrive in them. “Icon of our generation,” praised X in a post.
