The Dad of one further said that his path started off with ending the consumption of alcohol and other narcotic substances like marijuana. The newly found parent was sure that he wanted to be at top of his game and even though substances like weed are not really affecting his lifestyle right now, but he isn’t going to wait around the corner to have its toll. He decided then that he would begin his journey to sobriety.
Daryl Sabara added that the hardest part is being alone at times can be a huge trigger, as the little voice in his head keeps rising whenever no one’s around telling him that it’s just them alone right now reminding him how he can just smoke up without any consequences. It’s quite haunting to know that these voices are coming into his consciousness due to the long-lost battle against these substances.
The artist Daryl Sabara confirmed that he was able to keep off marijuana after these recurring triggers for a while. It wasn’t the easiest journey, but it was worth every bit at the end of it. He continued that smoking marijuana was kind of like a shield for him, he would take a puff or two before every event or concert to deal with performance jitters.
Further along the podcast, 29-year-old singer Meghan Trainor talks about her first encounter with getting him caught red-handed while smoking marijuana. The singer said it was during the beginning of their dating life when Trainor got back home after the day’s work to find him smoking in their bedroom. She laughed the whole thing off by saying that she thought of it to be a lollipop at first glance.
