Delta Emulator Introduces Online Multiplayer for Nintendo DS Titles

The well-known console emulator Delta has just received a significant update. The new version enables users to engage in online multiplayer games for Nintendo DS.

Delta now supports online multiplayer for Nintendo DS games

According to a recent announcement on Bluesky, version 1.7 of the Delta emulator for iOS has introduced Online Multiplayer functionality for Nintendo DS titles. This feature relies on community-hosted alternative Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) servers, as the official DS servers for online multiplayer were discontinued by Nintendo in 2014.

After installing the latest version of Delta, users simply need to select their preferred server within the emulator’s settings, without the hassle of changing DNS or other intricate configurations.

Notable Nintendo DS games that support online multiplayer include Mario Kart DS, Pokémon, and Animal Crossing. A comprehensive list of all compatible games can be found here.

Beyond online multiplayer capabilities, Delta 1.7 enhances the emulation of Nintendo 64 games, allowing users to upscale resolution and utilize custom texture packs. Additionally, there’s a new feature for quickly capturing game screenshots, along with numerous bug fixes.

Delta 1.7 is currently available on the AltStore PAL for EU users and will soon be rolled out globally on the App Store. The download is free.
