Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, expresses regret for the first time.

The athlete, 26, publicly tried to atone for the women who have accused him of sex abuse during massage sessions in an appearance with Cleveland News 5 on Friday.

Deshaun Watson said he is very sorry to any woman he has ever impacted in a bad situation in his interview with the outlet. He added that he made a decision in his life that has brought him to this position, and if he ever gets another chance, he will never repeat those decisions. However, he said he would like to continue moving forward, keeping all these behind him. He said that he is willing to learn from these mistakes and grow, and he would like to show the world that he is a true person of character and wants to go forward.

According to ESPN, Watson had previously stated that he had “no regrets” about how he had behaved in the two press conferences he had given since joining the team.

As for his next steps, Deshaun Watson said that he is looking forward to getting more playing time and that he is excited to go out with his teammates and start playing national level and start performing in his games again. He added that he wants to ensure every snap he cherishes every moment on the field as he doesn’t know when he can play with them the next time.

Watson also said that he has to work on and off the field to make sure he can serve all the communities he has committed to, including the Cleveland community, the NFL community, and beyond.
