Disney brings up a new blockbuster for Black Month History with the launching of ‘Moon Girl’ starring the first black teenager. Diamond White lead of the show, expresses her gratitude towards Disney stating she wishes she could encounter such shows growing up. The impeccable singer and actress Damond White show again what it takes to be a superhero and her powers aren’t limited to just fancy tricks. White will be starring as the newest addition to the Marvel family ‘Moon Girl’ based on the marvel comics universe. The character Lunella Lafayette aka Moon Girl will be the first Black teenager superheroine in history marking up some new milestones for the Marvel franchise. The new series Moon Girl and the Devil Universe will be available on Disney+ to stream. The premiere was quite fittingly arranged on 10th February befalling on Black Month History.
The 24-year-old shares her view with amazement at her new project. Diamond White is currently at Disneyland Resort to celebrate the moment for ‘Moon Girl’s’ streaming debut in real-life. She shares that representation in media is quite important, especially for younger kids, and these shows work as an emblem of that.
According to sources, Lafayette can be arguably the most intellectually brilliant character in the MCU. Alongside the character’s superpower of pure intellect, in real life, she doesn’t fall short as well with a degree in STEM under her sleeves. In the deadly combination of both confidence and determination she aims to protect her fellow neighborhood East Side Low from dangers forthcoming.
Diamond White comments about Lunella sharing it’s pretty cool that she’s that smart and wishes she had such great superheroes to look up to as a kid, if only series like this were a thing back then maybe she could’ve been a little smarter today. The actors hint us how cool the show is with inclusivity to all different kinds of flavors.
