This is a big question that has been circulating for some time. According to recent reports, it is hinted that the Houston Rockets top shooting guard, James Harden wants to call it quits with his team. His recent absence from the team’s practice matches also calls for speculation.
Houston Rockets are all set to prepare for the upcoming NBA season and the team’s coach Stephen Silas describes the absence of James Harden from Sunday’s training session as a “Holdout”.
Stephen Silas Calls James Harden’s Absence A “Setback’ For The Team
This is the first time Stephen Silas is acting as the head coach of a team. In a recent statement regarding the absence of James Harden, he spoke out that as far as the timetable for the practice sessions go, there is no timetable yet as far as his knowledge. He calls Harden’s absence a setback. Expressing his disappointment regarding the entire situation, Silas further steps up to say that it is nothing better than a setback when the team’s best player is absent from the ground.
James Harden, 31, became one of the NBA’s most prolific scorers and earned recognition as the best shooting guard in the NBA, as well as one of the top overall players in the league. Harden also won the MVP title in 2018 and has a record of 8- times All-Star winner and a 6-times All NBA First Team honors winner.
In the statement Stephen Silas further mentioned that he was unclear regarding the reason for Harden’s absence from the game practice. He says that he is uncertain about what the player desires or what “message” he wants to send the team.
During this period, James Harden has been spotted attending the birthday of Lil Baby and on another instance, partying in Las Vegas. Even though there is no official news yet, several reports suggest Harden wants to quit the Rockets and join the Brooklyn Nets and form a super combo with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
