DOGE ,000 Stimulus Payments: Check Your Eligibility Now!

Elon Musk and DOGE have been actively involved in reducing federal employment since the beginning of President Donald Trump’s second term. If the sight of individuals losing their jobs troubles you, there may be a glimmer of hope.

A glimmer, perhaps.

Talks of DOGE potentially converting some of its reported government savings into dividend checks for the American populace have surfaced. This concept initially emerged on social media, proposed by James Fishback, the CEO of Azoria investment firm.

USA Today reported that “Musk, whom the Trump administration contended in court does not technically work for DOGE,” replied to Fishback on X, stating, “Will check with the President.”

These payments might serve as concrete proof for Americans regarding the savings made. Without such evidence, it seems the job cuts are happening rapidly with no evident restitution to taxpayers.

Trump also shared his thoughts on the idea.

“There’s even a new concept under consideration, where we allocate 20% of the DOGE savings to American citizens and 20% for debt reduction,” Trump mentioned in a recent speech in Miami.

However, if you find yourself at home with a near-empty bank account, getting your hopes up about possible cash windfalls — Fishback’s proposal reportedly includes $5,000 payments — you may be facing some disappointing news. That’s because if your account is truly near empty, there’s a significant chance you won’t qualify for a DOGE check — should they eventually be distributed — according to Fishback’s plan.

Newsweek states that Fishback’s proposal stipulates that payments would only be issued to “households that are net-payers of federal income tax.” This implies, as reported by Newsweek, that only individuals who contribute more in taxes than they receive back would be eligible for these stimulus payments. Additionally, most Americans earning less than $40,000 annually effectively do not pay federal income tax.

Thus, individuals with lower incomes are currently excluded from the plan, per Newsweek.

If you find yourself in that demographic, don’t lose hope. As of now, there is no assurance that anybody will receive a stimulus check from DOGE, meaning there remains a strong possibility that no funds will be disbursed at all.
