The Dogecoin Foundation is making a return to support core developers after spending quite some time in total media silence. The main purpose of this institution is to help in the benefit of the meme-based cryptocurrency. In an announcement made on Tuesday, the Foundation stated that it would be reestablishing itself in a bid to support the community of DOGE while promoting the blockchain future.

The foundation further stated that it would also go out and announce several new projects in the following weeks which would be about the adoption and the usage of DOGE which would increase the uptake of Dogecoin at a primordial level.

What Does The Dogecoin Foundation Entail?

The announcement claimed that the Dogecoin Foundation held the mark of Dogecoin as well as the Dogecoin Logo and will suitably be maintaining them for the rest of the community. This also implied that the Foundation would be able to project the Dogecoin Brand while allowing the ability to use it for memes that are related to Dogecoin.

As stated by the Foundation, it has been aiming to push for a three-year budget that would support its goals. The website of the project has currently listed the co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Dogecoin Billy Markus, and Max Keller- the core Developer for the meme currency. Also, the interest of Elon Musk will also be monitored by the Dogecoin Foundation, along with Jared Birchall, the CEO of Neuralink.

The Dogecoin Foundation was first formed in 2014, with the foundation backing several charitable contributions in and around the crypto space. However, it started losing followers quite swiftly- with Ben Doernberg and Eric Nakagawa leaving the original foundation. As a result, the group was largely silent until now.
