Former American president Donald Trump went live from his website through a blog page. The move came from Donald Trump and his officials after Trump was banned from using various other social media sites by the companies. “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” – a webpage to be precise, Donald Trump’s blog was shut down permanently after about a month of its going live. A spokesperson further established that the blog has been shut down permanently.
Jason Miller, the senior aide of Donald Trump further confirmed that the blog page will not be making its return anytime in the future. However, he did leave a hint at the broader endeavor that Donald Trump and his team have been working upon. He declined further to divulge any more details on the same. He hoped to share the details sometime soon once he’s well aware of the precise timing to do so.
Story Behind Donald Trump’s Banned Social Media Handles
Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook after the Trump supporters tried to invade Capitol Hill on the 6th of January. Trump had been claiming that his clean sweep win was taken away from his side by fraud since Nov 3rd. His repeated and false claims on social media were one of the main reasons for the uproar of the Trump supporters. Trump even accused the social media companies to be politically biased.
At the time of the unveiling of the blog page last month, Miller stated that it was a newer means of communication to the former President. But not a social media policy by any means. When the ban took place, millions were following Trump on Twitter and Facebook. In contrast to that, Donald Trump’s blog failed to garner a small percentage of those numbers.
