According to a Fox News report from the 17th of April, Elon Musk informed Tucker Carlson- the Fox anchor- that he was about to develop a ChatGPT rival called the TruthGPT.
This, according to him, would be a large language model that would be trained to explore the mysteries around the universe. According to Musk, the truth-seeking AI will also be pushing back against what he considers as a left-wing bias in this industry. In his interview with Carlson, Musk informed that ChatGPT was programmed by left-wing experts, which also trained other chatbots to lie. Carlson, on his part, also mentioned that the problem was not just that it would become autonomous and turn us into slaves- but it would also control the very understanding of reality- and do it in a way that is quite dishonest.
Elon Musk To Launch TruthGPT Which Would Combat ChatGPT
Elon Musk also addressed quite a few concerns about his entry into the LLM market- a move that he initiated with the purchase of around 10,000 GPUs- just a few weeks before he signed a petition that called for a pause on related research in order to evaluate the safety concerns. He stated that he believed that the best path toward safety would be in the sense that an AI which cared about understanding the universe would not likely annihilate humans because we were the most interesting part of the Universe.
According to Elon Musk, artificial intelligence has also demonstrated its capability when it comes to blockchain applications. Since the 17th of March, Cointelegraph has been reporting on a bunch of token trades that were conducted by ChatGPT-4. When it was prompted as to how one could allocate $100 on certain tokens, the AI recommended $50 to Bitcoin.
