The final rehearsal for Shanghai is knocking at the door as Ethereum pushes them to upgrade from the beginning of April. The core developers from Ethereum is pushing back an incredibly anticipated Shanghai hard fork in a couple of weeks.
The first estimation for this upgrade was late March. However, it will happen in between the first couple of weeks of April. The meeting for the developers of Ethereum has announced the delay on 2nd March.
During this meeting the developers of the stablecoin came to conclusion that this will only happen after the launch of Goerli testnet. As per the reports, this launch is scheduled for 14th March. This testnut is going to be the final rehearsal for Shanghai hard work before going out on the mainnet.
Tim Beiko, the member of the core developing team of Ether as well as the coordinator of the project said that for mainnet, they usually give people at least a couple of weeks after the announcement. Thus, if Goerli launches on 14th March, and things proceed smoothly, they will go forward with the mainnet on 16th March. This is why Tim explained that the Upgrade will move to April.
Ethereum Development Team Pressuring Shanghai To Upgrade By April:
Tim said that they were not agreeing to any mainnet date but will fix the date in the next meeting. This was on 2nd March. Shanghai Capella, aka Shapella upgrading to Goerli will be the final chance for Ethereum clients to make sure that Shanghai Hard Work proceeds smoothly at the time of the launch.
To maintain the security and the stability, Ethereum will make withdrawals dynamic and dependent on how many of the validators are currently exiting in the home. They will also undergo a two-stage process with a exit queue.
