American taxpayers who are eligible but did not claim the ‘Recovery Rebate Credit’ on their 2021 tax returns may receive a stimulus check of up to $1,400 for each individual listed on their return. The IRS revealed in December that it would be issuing these stimulus checks after discovering a significant number of eligible taxpayers failed to claim the credit. Additionally, there are new tax laws and deductions available that could increase filers’ refunds.
