Stimulus Check

The federal government sent out the first round of stimulus payments earlier this year, but it looks like you may get another chance to cash in. Congress approved the second round of direct payments on Monday as part of a larger coronavirus relief bill. The bill passed by a vote of 65-33 in the Senate and 303-116 in the House.

If you haven’t had a chance to look into it yet, there is a possibility that stimulus checks could be coming soon.

If you are one of the lucky ones who got one in the first round of direct payments (over $600), then you will get your second round in mid-February. If you did not receive your first check, then keep an eye on your mailbox because it could be arriving any day now!

  • How much am I eligible for?

The amount varies depending on how much money was spent on your behalf by members of Congress during their recent trip abroad. Some people who do not get their first check may even get more than others due to this factor. This is also dependent on how many times they went shopping at Nordstrom during their vacation as well as what country they visited last week when they were supposed to be working here in America instead.”

Stimulus Check Money To Provide Respite

If you’re eligible for a stimulus check payment, you should receive $600 for yourself or $1,200 if you’re married and filing jointly. That’s half of the amount sent out earlier this year and doesn’t include any additional money for dependents. That means a married couple with two dependent children under 17 would get a family total of $2,400, or $1,200 less than the first round of payments earlier this year.

If you’ve been waiting patiently for your stimulus check, now is the time to start checking with the IRS and Social Security Administration. If you’re eligible for a payment, it’s important to make sure that you have all of your information ready so that everything can go smoothly when it comes time to process your claim.
