AirPods Pro 2: Black Friday offers
The second generation of AirPods Pro debuted in September 2022, with an updated version released last year featuring a USB-C charging case in place of the older Lightning variant. Even after two years, the AirPods Pro 2 continue to be my top choice for wireless earbuds and arguably the finest available today.
In comparison to the first generation, the second generation offers significant enhancements. Initially, I wasn’t keen on earbuds with silicone tips, but the AirPods Pro 2 have won me over. The inclusion of the H2 chip has greatly improved active noise cancellation, a feature crucial for me in accepting the AirPods Pro 2 as my go-to earphones.
Although I also own AirPods Max, they see far less usage since I got the AirPods Pro 2. The latter are indisputably lighter and more compact, yet they provide similar, if not superior, audio quality and ANC. Traveling without my AirPods Pro 2 has become unimaginable. The audio is immersive with commendable bass, and the ANC stands out as the best I’ve experienced.
Another notable feature of the AirPods Pro 2 is the inclusion of an extra-small ear tip for a more comfortable fit, and users can even slide on the earpieces to modify the volume. Additionally, the updated charging case includes Apple’s U1 chip, providing Find My and Precision Finding functionalities. The new USB-C version also supports Lossless audio for Apple Vision Pro.
Despite being two years old, I still consider the AirPods Pro 2 to be the top earbuds available. If you own an older model or find your AirPods Max lacking, I highly recommend giving the AirPods Pro 2 a try.

Beats Studio Pro: Black Friday promotions
Released last year, the Beats Studio Pro headphones mark the first major update to the Beats Studio line since 2017. The classic Beats aesthetics have been preserved and enhanced, with the Beats Studio Pro arguably competing favorably against the AirPods Max.
As both an owner of AirPods Max and Beats Studio Pro, I find the Beats headphones to be significantly lighter, weighing in at just 260g compared to the 385g of the AirPods Max. This makes them a superb choice for extended wear or even during workouts.
In terms of audio performance, the Beats Studio Pro headphones hold their ground. While I believe the AirPods Max perform slightly better, the substantial price gap makes the trade-off worthwhile. They also incorporate active noise cancellation and Transparency Mode, along with support for Lossless audio – a feature not found in the AirPods Max.
Beats Studio Pro also features Find My support and can seamlessly integrate with the Android ecosystem. With a USB-C port and headphone jack, they cater perfectly to those who use non-Apple devices.
While they are regularly priced at $349, you can purchase the Beats Studio Pro for just $159 this Black Friday. At that price, they offer exceptional value.
