When the whole country was getting benefits from the federal department. The agricultural industries suffered. Now they have come up with a food and farm worker relief grant program for workers in these industries.
The United States Department of Agriculture came up with the scheme to send checks to significant and eligible workers.
The huge amount will be divided into 14 nonprofit organizations. Those organizations will distribute the monthly checks to individuals.
Who Are Those Lucky Individuals To Claim Food And Farm Worker Relief Grant Program Checks
The United States Department of Agriculture has set $667 million for people in the agricultural and food industry.
This will be divided into 14 parts and distribution will be made amongst them.
Those 14 non-profit organizations are likely to send and divide those amounts into $600 each.
An act which was passed in 2021 under consolidated appropriation.
This is likely to help them recover from the damage that happened during covid-19 pandemic.
The corps was damaged due to a lack of pesticides. And other types of medicines for the plants.
They suffered the most. Their only source of income was jeopardized by the lockdown.
The organization already started receiving applications for food and farm worker relief grant program checks.
There is no such deadline, they will be sending this till 2024.
People who work in the food line industry or meatpacking industry. All the store workers and frontline agricultural people can apply for these payments.
They need to show before claiming this payment they were active workers from 27th January 2020 to 11th April 2023. The proof of their work during the covid-19 pandemic.
