Former Employees of Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrested

VIDALIA, La. (KNOE) – A former deputy and jailer from Concordia Parish were taken into custody on March 7 and processed at the Concordia Parish Correctional Facility.

In late February, the sheriff’s office discovered that Journey M. Wall and Jada Griggs had deliberately withheld information pertaining to an active investigation.

The sheriff’s office stated, “both Griggs and Wall were promptly relieved of their duties.” On March 5, arrest warrants were issued for them.

The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with the Baton Rouge Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service on this ongoing case.

Sheriff David Hedrick shared this statement via social media:

“It is never easy to arrest a former officer; however, I hold myself and my team, as law enforcement officials, to the same standards expected of all citizens. The public deserves to be informed when someone tasked with enforcing the law is accused of breaking it. Such misconduct erodes public trust and endangers our agency and community, and it will not be tolerated under my leadership.”

Griggs and Wall face charges of malfeasance in office.

This is all the information available at this moment.
