Janet Mills, the Governor of Maine, gave hope to the people that the state government will give a part of the budget surplus to the citizens who have paid their taxes on time. As per a source, the state of Maine has a surplus budget of $822 million.

This proposal can be successfully implemented if the bill passes with a 2/3rd majority in the legislature. In the words of Janet Mills to the various lawmakers of the state, she cannot control the adverse impact of the pandemic on the lives and markets of people globally, however, she would try her level best to make the lives of the people easier and better.
Mills also added that she will give the residents the necessary resources that are required in the increasing cost of living and to construct a better economy. In case this bill is approved, the stimulus check payments will be distributed from June. The residents of Maine can even get their payments faster if these are sent electronically.
Joe Biden, the President of America launched the third stimulus check under the American Rescue Plan and to date, it is the last check under the proposal of Build Back Better. As per his words, another round of stimulus checks is not possible currently and though child tax credit and community college credit were a part of that proposal, the execution will not be possible this year.
