In a post on his X and Instagram account (previously called Twitter), it is said that extensive surgery had removed the majority of his tumor. As such, the golfer is presently resting.

Gary Woodland’s post continued by saying that his family requests privacy and space during this time as they spend some time together. It finally thanked everyone for their prayers and thoughts as the golfer began his journey to a complete recovery. The statement was signed by “Team GW”. In August, Gary Woodland announced his intention to undergo brain surgery to get rid of a lesion.
In the August post, Gary Woodland had written that a diagnosis from some months back had informed about the lesion’s presence. Since then, he attempted to use medication to treat the symptoms. However, he then consulted with several specialists as well as his family. He finally decided that getting extensive surgery was the better method. Woodlands had not specified the details of the lesion in that post, but he had said that September 18th was the date fixed for the surgery.
The PGA tour had released a subsequent statement adding that the player’s spirits were high after receiving his friends and family’s support. He had also given his gratitude to his fans. The communities of golfing and sporting, in general, rallied support for Woodlands after the most recent update regarding his health. Karin Hart, a fellow golfer, wished him to get well soon. Billy Horschel, from the PGA Tour, commented on 4 praying emojis followed by 3 heart emojis. Jay Bilas, a basketball analyst, wished Woodland to recover as well.
