Gene Simmons

Gene Simmons is a rock god, and he knows it. The KISS bassist, nicknamed the Demon after his makeup-clad stage persona, has been playing guitar since he was 13 years old. He’s toured the world with his bandmates for decades and has made millions of dollars in the process.

He also happens to be one of the most famous people in America—and a dad! His daughter Sophie revealed her engagement on social media just days ago, so we asked him what he thought about that big news. These past few years have been a major one for Gene Simmons. The Kiss bassist got engaged to his girlfriend Beth, and now his daughter Sophie is engaged as well!

‘I’m very proud of her and happy for her,’ Gene told us at the launch of his new book, ‘On Stage: A Memoir Of 40 Years Of Performing’. ‘She has a great relationship with her husband-to-be, who I think is fantastic too. He works with kids with disabilities so it’s on fire right now.’

Gene Simmons is taking his daughter’s engagement news in stride.
