Gigi Hadid recently had a daughter named Khai with Zayn Malik. They intend to raise their 4-year-old daughter with the best of the different religions, cultures, and spiritualties across the world.
She has expressed her desire of taking bits and pieces of the different religions to raise Khai just the way she herself was raised by her parents. She feels it is the best way to raise one’s child because it helps the child to connect with people globally if they are taught to respect various cultures from a young age. She told this to Vogue on 4th February, Thursday.
Combination of Different Religion Best Policy For Gigi Hadid
In a recent interview for the cover of Vogue, Gigi Hadid stated that she wants to give her daughter, Khai, a chance to explore various interests that will help in better growth for her.
Gigi and Zayn Malik, her boyfriend, plan to make Khai strong enough to confront Islamophobia that had to be faced by Gigi and Anwar Hadid, her brother, during childhood. She shared that someone in her elementary school had called her father a terrorist due to the 9/11 incident.
Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend want Khai to understand and embrace both their religious and cultural background. She was also brought up with two faiths, as a Christian from, Yolanda Hadid, her mother’s side, and as a Muslim from her father’s side. She plans to expose Khai to diverse cultures.
Gigi Hadid also wants Khai to address her father as ‘Jido’, meaning ‘grandpa’ in Arabic and her mother ‘Oma’, meaning ‘grandma’ in Dutch. Khai will also be calling Zayn ‘Abu’ meaning ‘dad’ in Urdu.
Zayn also seems in total agreement that their daughter must be brought up in a liberal manner.
