Elvis Presley’s famed estate, Graceland, will pass to his daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s three daughters after her passing.
The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away last week at the age of 52. Her three daughters Riley Keough, 33, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14, will share in the Memphis, Tennessee, estate.
A representative for Graceland told Yahoo Entertainment, “Riley, Harper, Finley, and Priscilla are grateful for the support, well-wishes, and outpouring of love honoring their beloved Lisa Marie.”
Graceland Owner Lisa Marie Is No More
Elvis purchased the 500-acre farm in 1957 when he was just 22 years old and it is where he died in 1977. Lisa Marie became the sole heir to the property when she turned 25. A representative for Graceland tells Yahoo that Riley, Harper and Finley will inherit the estate.
A public memorial service for Lisa Marie will be held at Graceland on Sunday. The news comes as the family encourages all who wish to send something to do so in the form of a donation to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation. The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation offers support to various organizations, especially focusing on arts, education, and children’s programs in the Memphis/Whitehaven area near Graceland.
The former couple, Elvis and Priscilla, have remained close despite their split. The family has managed to stay on good terms for the sake of their daughter and the memorial service is an example of their ability to co-parent in a healthy manner.
Thompson’s mom’s death has been a difficult pill to swallow for the basketball player, and his attendance at the funeral was a touching show of support from the former couple.
It is no surprise that the three daughters will inherit their mother’s legacy, Graceland. The iconic estate, which is now a museum, is a lasting legacy to the King of Rock and Roll and Lisa Marie’s daughters will ensure that his music and memory live on.
