A grandfather from Texas lost his life after being caught in a shooting incident while purchasing food at a well-known fast-food restaurant, with his family reportedly waiting outside.
The shooting took place earlier this week at a McDonald’s in Katy, Texas, located near Houston.

Sheriff Ed Gonzales of Harris County reported that the shooting occurred between two groups who were involved in a “disturbance” on Sunday, March 16.
Gunfire erupted inside the crowded restaurant, which had many customers, including young children, parents, and older individuals, according to Gonzales.
Two individuals were struck by the gunfire—one from the disputing group and a 61-year-old innocent bystander, Jorge Arbaiza, who was subsequently transported via Life Flight to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Gonzales stated that Arbaiza was in the process of buying Happy Meals for his grandchildren when the shooting occurred.
A local news report indicates that his wife was waiting in the vehicle with their grandchildren during the incident.
A 24-year-old suspect has since been apprehended and charged with murder.
Details surrounding the motivation for the altercation remain unclear.
