Harvey Weinstein gets sentenced to another 16 years of imprisonment on Thursday against the charges of sex-relating crimes. The 70-year-old disgraceful Hollywood producer is already on 23 years of a separate sentence for the commitment of rape against an aspiring junior actress and sexual assault against a film and TV production assistant, for which he got convicted in March of 2020.

Is It Harsh? Or Just An Appropriate Measure To Harvey Weinstein’s Heinous Crimes

The current ruling pertains to Harvey Weinstein’s trial in Los Angeles which concluded that in December last year 2022 he was found guilty over the verdict on three criminal counts: the forcible act of rape, the forcible act of oral copulation, and sexual penetration by use of a foreign object on Jane Doe I, an aspiring Italian model. The scene took place in the city at Mr.C Hotel on account of February 2013.

In the case of Jane Doe III, who was known to be a masseuse therapist at that time, the co-founder of the Weinstein Business Company was found to be not guilty over the charges of sexual battery with the use of restraints.

The New York Times stated in its piece that jurors were highly indecisive on specific two accounts relating to the accusations which were made by documentary filmmaker Jennifer Siebel Newson and wife to California Governor Gavin Newsom. This resulted in disagreement over one account stemming from the allegations by screenwriter and model Lauren Young.

After Thursday’s judicial sentence, a Representative from Harvey Weinstein reports that regarding the client’s current health condition and age such a sentence was nothing short of ‘cruel’.  Juda S. Engelmayer announces that this doesn’t count as justice but piling over a man that people decided to get cast off in disregard of the actual facts of the case. It will get appealed, says the informer.
