Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa are now the proud parents of a son.
Tarek El Moussa, 41, the joyful father of the Flippin’ El Moussas stars, announced the arrival of their baby on Instagram on Tuesday. He announced the arrival of their son on the 31st, writing, “Our baby boy is here 1.31.23” accompanying the first picture of their newborn on Thursday.
Heather Rae Young Is A New Mom
“Both mother and child are doing well and enjoying their new lives. A great joy has filled our souls.” Heather Rae Young shared an adorable photo of the couple holding their newborn. The baby boy, whose face is obscured by the blanket, has a pattern of footprints on it that matches the design on his mother’s fingernails.
The baby’s name was kept under wraps by the celebrities. Tarek already shares parental responsibilities with his ex-wife Christina Hall and their two older children, Brayden, 7, and Taylor, 12. The couple told PEOPLE their anticipation of having a boy on the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards in December.
Adding, “I’m a step-mommy, therefore we have Tay and Brayden, but a baby,” Heather, 35, said. After caring for Taylor and Brayden when they were ages 3 and 8, respectively, the prospect of caring for a baby and ushering a new tiny soul into the world was overwhelming.
Tarek joked that he would continue to express his love for Heather when they brought their kid home by “doing what I’m told” when the pair checked in with PEOPLE in November, before their Winter Wonderland-themed baby shower. Heather Rae Young said, “Whatever she needs assistance with, I’m there to help.” Moreover, Tarek said he’d let Heather wax his chest well before the baby’s arrival.
Heather Rae Young went on to say, “I believe it’s vital for dads to have skin-to-skin with the infant as well.” So I did inform him yesterday that he would be getting some nice skin-to-skin time with the kid once I shaved his chest.
