Bean Dad has been trending globally now. John Roderick, Lead Singer, Long Winters, an Indie band of the 2000s has become a person of ridicule after tweeting a story regarding refusing to uncap beans can for his daughter of nine years age as if the story was a teachable moment regarding parenting.
This has led to Roderick deleting his Twitter account after much concern and criticism for Roderick’s parenting skills that spiraled into this big story which can potentially affect the replacement of Alex Trebek, who is no more, on Jeopardy. The Bean Dad posted the thread of 23 tweets on 2nd January, detailing the story of how he couldn’t help stop solving one jigsaw puzzle while telling his daughter who was hungry that she should start cooking her baked beans.
Bean Dad Acted Very Insensitively On Twitter
The problem is that his daughter has no idea how to open a can using the can opener. Then there was this absurd thread that followed where Roderick explained how his daughter put her efforts into opening the can for 6 hours when Roderick refused cooking for her and simply tried to show her the method of opening a can using the opener. Bean Dad tweeted that he was explaining to her daughter about the little device used for opening cans and asked her daughter to study the parts of the can and figure out the thought process of the inventor of this little device when they never gave up solving the problem.
Then the Bean Dad went back on solving his jigsaw puzzle while her daughter groaned and grunted trying to open the can. He concluded that process visualization, operation order, and spatial visualization are the things that his daughter has no intuition of. He admits that it was a challenge amidst the rainy weekend.
