Marketing may seem straightforward but there is a lot of strategy behind it, and it can take a lot of time to implement the perfect campaign.  As such, when you streamline your process – it can save you time, allow you to ensure you are managing each digital marketing medium effectively, and to analyse and improve.

Make Sure you Plan in Advance

This first thing you need to do is make sure you have a strategy in place.  It’s a good idea to create a marketing calendar, that way you know exactly what is happening on what date which allows you to schedule what you can.  This is particularly beneficial over a holiday period, or if you are planning on taking some time off.

Use Scheduling Tools for Social Media

There are various scheduling tools you can look out for when planning your social media posts.  Facebook’s content creator studio allows you to schedule in across both Facebook and Instagram, and Hootsuite – allows you to schedule in Twitter too.  There are others that are worth looking into to see which suits you best such as Meet Edgar which allows you to schedule in LinkedIn posts, or Buffer is another alternative.

Create Email Templates

If you have managed to collect some email addresses, then you will no doubt want to include email sends as part of your overall campaign.  To allow you to create these more easily and to save time – it’s a good idea to create email templates.  That way, you can simply swap out the text and some images if you need to.  Once you have the initial set up of this sorted, it will save you a lot of time in the long run.

Use Graphic Templates

You don’t need to be a great graphic designer to be able to create quality social media graphics or videos.  There are lots of templates out there that you can choose from and manipulate.  When you create a Canva account for example – they have lots of different options for you to select from and you can build your creatives from there.  You can add your logos, swap out images, change colours and customise readymade images.  You can of course do these in batches too, which means you can get them scheduled into your calendar.

Use Autoresponders

Autoresponders are a great way to let the customer know that you may be unavailable to answer their query at that time, which will in turn ensure they feel taken care of.  Other ways you can use chat bots as part of your automated marketing is by creating a bot that will interact with the user based on the typical frequently asked questions.  This means by the time they have reached the end of their conversation – you should already have a good idea as to what their needs are.

If you are looking to streamline your marketing to save you time and money – then make sure you have a look at some of these top tips.
