Apple Reveals Plans for Expansion in Saudi Arabia with Retail Stores Set to Open in 2026

Apple has revealed plans to enhance its retail footprint in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the introduction of the online store set for 2025, followed by the launch of physical locations in 2026.

Building on the establishment of its developer academy in 2021, Apple is committed to investing further in Saudi Arabia, with the Apple Online Store expected to debut in summer 2025. The company highlighted that this initiative will provide “exceptional service and support directly from Apple in Arabic for the very first time.”

Subsequently, a series of retail outlets will be opened, starting with the first store in 2026. Plans are underway for a location in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In a statement, Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed:

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Saudi Arabia with the launch of the online Apple Store next year and the initial flagship stores slated for 2026, including a remarkable location at the breathtaking Diriyah site.”

“Our teams are eager to strengthen our ties with customers and to deliver the best of Apple, empowering people across the nation to pursue their passions, grow their businesses, and elevate their ideas.”

This venture is part of Apple’s broader strategy for expansion in Saudi Arabia, where the company has invested over 10 billion SAR in the last five years. Furthermore, earnings for developers on the App Store in Saudi Arabia have surged by over 1750% since 2019.

Additionally, Apple will introduce express transit support for the upcoming Riyadh metro, adding to a network that encompasses over 250 cities.
